Lefty family (mostly)
My wife and I are both lefties, and 2 of our 3 kids are lefties. Our younger daughter is a complete and utter lefty, our son (the middle child) writes lefty but does all sports-related activities righty. Our older daughter is a total righty, she is the black sheep of the family ;-)

Left Right Left Left..
It\'s not too strange to find that left handers find they do some things right handed. I play guitar right handed too, and I throw and catch with my left hand (because in back yard games, all the gloves were for right handers). Its from adapting to live in a right handed culture. I\'ve been lefthanded for as long as I can remember. However, in first grade my teacher tried forcing me to be right handed, and even sent me to the principal\'s office because they thought I was being disobedient. Now I find my lefthandedness unique, and when people ask \'oh, you\'re left handed?\' I smile and just say \'yup\' (:

strong and delicate
I don\'t know what I am for sure, but I consider myself left-handed. The strange thing is that the delicate things or elaborate are done with my left hand. The strength comes from my right hand. But I play the guitar right side... strange isn\'t it?

Read it backwards
I\'ve been left-handed since the first time I\'ve had to pick between left or right (sucking my thumb, I think). My mum used to be, then got made to write right-handed. She says that\'s why she reads the backwards \'push\' signs on the OTHER side of a door and walks into it. I must agree with some of the others here on the creativity bit of leftie-hood, As we moved through high-school, my art class got narrowd down to 10 people, over half of them lefties.

Other lefties!!
My friend, actually a rightie, sent me this site. I as quite surprised and very pleased and find this site awesome lol. I know very few lefties, mayb atleast 3 others -.- Nobody ever tried to teach me to write wit my right hand, but when i did notice at school i was put to trhe test and the first try, i wrote perfectly with my right hand! But i still prefer my left :)

oddball
I\'m considered to be odd. I write with my right hand more naturally, but for everything else im a lefty. Noone can seem to figure out how that works, considering I can write equally well with my left, but i prefer my right hand. (otherwise its kinda useless maybe?)

Ambidextrous
Anyone else have their hands held behind their back while being taught to write as a righty? I hate school for it!!! Teach me, don\'t control me! But I\'m out of there now, in the real world, and no one cares that I\'m a lefty! But I do play sports with my right arm being the main arm. Lefty at heart though.

Leftfield
Growing up, I was a big sports fan. So, I tried out for baseball. It didn\'t work out, however, when I was completely horrible at catching, even with a glove on my right hand. I didn\'t make the team because when I caught the ball, with my left hand, I had to take off my glove to throw it.

On the left side of life
I did everything with the left hand - from the beginning. My parents gave me the toys in the right hand - I switched immediately to the left. For the first weeks I wrote everything backwards so you could read it with a mirror. But today I work in a creative job and met so many creative lefties since I started - this can\'t be a coincidence - it must be fate! ;)

Proud of being a lefty
I regard being left handed as a gift, not an affliction as many right handers see lefthandedness. Have only just discovered this site - I have an information portal for left handers so I\'m going to put a link to \'Lefthandside\' on it. :)

computer love
I grew up having to use a right-handed mouse on the computer. There wasn\'t a left handed option. I just got a wacom tablet and I now get to drive my computer with my left hand! It feels so much more natural. I still can\'t use a mouse with a left hand, though. The old habit is too hard to break.
